Dr. Srijita Chakraborty is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata, specializing in microstrip antennas, RF, and microwave circuit design. She holds a PhD from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and earned her B.Tech and M.Tech (GATE Scholar) from Kalyani Government Engineering College, where she was a Gold Medalist. She has over 12 years of teaching experience. An active researcher and corresponding author, she has published extensively across journals, book chapters, and international conferences. Dr. Chakraborty holds several leadership and advisory roles, serving as the Faculty Advisor for the IEEE IEM APS Student Chapter and maintaining professional memberships in IEEE APS, MTTS, WIE, SIGHT, and IEI. Her contributions to the academic community include organizing international conferences such as IEMTRONICS (International IOT, Electronics and Mechatronics Conference), IRTM (International Conference On “Interdisciplinary Research in Technology & Management), and EIRTM (European Congress on Interdisciplinary Research in Technology and Management), as well as serving as the Editor for the Inner Wheel Club of IEM.

Dr. Srijita Chakraborty’s research focuses on the design and optimization of advanced microwave components and antennas. Her primary interests include Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology, specifically developing notch antennas to eliminate interference from WLAN and WiMAX bands. She investigates Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) structures, including cavity-backed and array designs for high-gain performance. A significant portion of her work addresses miniaturization and compact antenna design, utilizing Defected Ground Structures (DGS) and slotting techniques to achieve multiband functionality and substantial size reduction for portable wireless applications and wearable devices.
