Research Interests
This research proposes a theoretical investigation of high-field transport and galvanomagnetic phenomena in quantum microstructures at low lattice temperatures (≤ a few tens of kelvin). At such temperatures, finite acoustic phonon energy, non-equipartition phonon distribution, carrier degeneracy, screening of scattering potentials, and transverse phonon wave-vector components play crucial roles in determining carrier dynamics. The study will systematically incorporate these effects to evaluate scattering rates, hot-electron behavior, electrical nonlinearity, and magnetotransport properties in quantum wells, wires, and dots. The work aims to develop a realistic transport model relevant to modern high-mobility low-dimensional semiconductor systems.
