Dr. Ratan Kumar Basak completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering, with a doctoral research focus on information embedding and extraction in animated image sequences, under the supervision of distinguished faculty. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering, and has also qualified the UGC‑NET in Computer Science and Engineering.

Dr. Ratan Kumar Basak’s research interests include Information Hiding and Steganography, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning and Deep Learning-based Intelligent Systems, Emotion Recognition from Facial Image Sequences, Analysis of Animated Image Sequences, Mobile Ad-hoc Networks, Soft Computing Techniques, and Multimedia Data Security. His work focuses on developing intelligent and secure data-driven systems for real-world applications.
