Dr. Manas Banerjee

My research interest in sports science focuses on understanding the physical, physiological, and motor fitness variables that influence sports performance. I am particularly interested in indigenous and competitive sports, with emphasis on agility, strength, reaction time, speed, and endurance among university- and district-level athletes. My work aims to compare sport-specific demands, identify performance determinants, and develop evidence-based training and talent identification models. I am also keen on promoting scientific support for traditional games and improving athlete performance through applied sports science research.
